This tour starts and ends in Lima is ideal for people with who would like to see the main sites in the Cuzco area and want to spend plenty of time in Machu Picchu.

ITINERARY:
(1 night in Lima, 2 nights in Cuzco and 1 night in Aguas Calientes)

DAY 01
Upon arrival in Lima by airplane you will be transferred to the hotel of your choice.
Optional city tour in the afternoon of Lima. (click here or more info on the optional city tour)

DAY 02
Transfer from your hotel in Lima to the airport to catch a 55 minute flight to Cuzco.
Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon there is a city tour which last for about three and a half hours and you will visit the nearby ruins of Sacsayhuaman, Quenqo, Pukipucara and Tambomachay. It also includes the temple of the sun (Qoricancha) and the cathedral. To enter all this sites and lots of other sites in the city you need a tourist ticket (BTC) which comes included in the price.

DAY 03
Excursion to Machu Picchu: Last all day. You will be collected from the hotel and transferred to the train station. The comfortable tourist train will take you to the small town of Aquas Calientes from where busses leave to the ruins (+/- 20 min). A guided tour through the ruins of about two and a half hours followed with an opportunity for lunch (not included). The rest of the afternoon is free to explore the ruins on your own. Overnight in an hotel in the nearby village of Aguas Calientes.

DAY 04
Free morning with the opportunity to return to the ruins (optional). Afternoon train back to Cusco

DAY 05
Transfer from your hotel to the airport to catch your flight to Lima.

You will be picked up at the airport and taken to the hotel of your choice.You'll be given there the necesarry tickets and vouchers for your trip and be informed about the departure times of the local activities you booked with us. At the end of your stay you will be taken to the airport or bus or train station and at the next destination the same will happen. This way we can make every tour run almost every day of the year which makes us very flexible. We have everywhere represenatives who will be there in case you need an extra service or in case of any emergency. So although you are not traveling as a group your you are never on your own.
